Montana

Here are a few things from Montana that I saw. We parked in Billings, which is a pretty big town so there were good places to eat and see. It was really quiet in Billings too because we didn't have very many custom harvesters in the area.

We went out to see a couple harvesters while we were in Montana and one of them was on a huge farm. We actually got kind of lost and didn't actually see the harvester that day. At the front of the farm they had the grain bins with a shop and scales too. The first picture is of the grain bins they had. There are fifty grain bins, thirty on one side and twenty on the other. The second is of a 500 HP tractor on a grain auger. It is a little overkill for the auger. We figured that they had the tractor for tillage and seeding and just don't buy another smaller one to run the auger.

This is just a picture from the road on my way to Billings. We came from Pierre, SD and I had to drive through Sturgis, SD during the motorcycle rally. It was actually a terrible time to drive through because there were motorcycles everywhere and they take up as much road as they can. They also have little respect for other drivers so they were all over the road. I was going to drive through Strugis but they said it took about an hour to get through town and Joe, my manager, was waiting on me in Wyoming.

Billings is pretty much how I remember it...not much of anything.
